Asian Health & Service CenterPAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JULES ROGERS - The AHSC is funded by private community contributions making up 41 percent of the funding, 33 percent from the PDC and 26 percent from the New Market Tax Credit investment.

AHSC is currently located along Southeast 34th and Powell, but has outgrown the rented space and is ready for its own new building, which will be a 30,000-square foot facility. From the new Center, AHSC will expand services and programs for a diverse population, including those identifying as Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and other ethnicities. Plans also include treatment rooms for behavioral and physical healthcare, a 6,000-square foot multipurpose hall for health education, exercise classes and AHSC's ethnic meal programs for seniors, social gatherings and cultural events.

AHSC has set a goal of $6 million of community contributions, with approximately $4.8 million raised to date. Capital campaign leaders aim to complete the final 20% of the campaign by the building's grand opening in Spring 2018.

Major contributors include the AHSC Board of Directors, FamilyCare, Meyer Memorial Trust, Murdock Charitable Trust, The Collins Foundation, Spirit Mountain Community Fund, HEDCO Foundation and the Oregon Community Foundation.

2611 S.W. Water Ave. PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JULES ROGERS - Although Southwest Baker Street — the drive leading from Corbett Avenue to this site — is currently gravel, the PGE Marquam Substation plans include upgrades to that street.

Nestled beneath the Marquam bridgehead between Naito Parkway, I-405 and I-5, this new construction has plans for 100 units in a five-story building. Site improvements, onsite parking and an interior trash room will also be included.

Broadway TowerPAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JOSEPH GALLIVAN - The Broadway Tower site was formerly home to a  two-story, 1917 Oregonians Credit Union building, which was demolished in June 2016.

This new mixed-use building will be a Radisson RED hotel with 180 rooms located on floors three through eight. About 175,000 square feet of office space will be located on floors nine through 19. Plans also include lobbies for both, a restaurant and a retail space on the ground floor. A lounge, conference rooms and fitness room amenities will be located on the second floor, with four levels of parking for 210 cars and 132 bikes underground.
