Fall hours coming to the Beaverton Farmers Market
There are a lot of things to take care of when it comes time for you to host a holiday party. From making sure you have enough seating to cleaning up your home and finding great background music, it seems like the job is never done! No matter what goes wrong, however, there's one thing that makes everything better: delicious food.
If you're looking for delicious fall produce, then you won't want to miss the Beaverton Farmers Market, which is open 9:00 to 1:30 every Saturday morning (rain or shine!) until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Located across from the Beaverton Library, you can find more than 100 vendors onsite, including both conventional and organic artisan food producers.
Fall is our favorite season here at the Beaverton Farmers Market because you get the best of both worlds. Our vendors still have lots of amazing summer produce like tomatoes, corn, peppers, and melons, but you'll also start to see pumpkins, squash, Brussels sprouts, and apples and pears. With a wonderful variety of produce available, you'll be able to cook a gourmet meal that will make dinner the talk of the party!
Also be sure to mark Saturday, October 7th on your calendars, when special guest and author Ivy manning will be on hand signing and selling copies of her new book, Soups from Scratch with Quick Breads to Match. Stop by from 10:00 to 12:00 to meet the author and sample her pumpkin, pancetta, and Arborio rice soup, a recipe taken straight from her book.
