BEND — The Tualatin-based Suburban Door OIBA baseball team traveled to Bend for tournament action, and came back with two wins in four tourney games.
With the split, the Dawgs moved to 9-11 on the summer season.
Suburban Door opened tourney play last Thursday by scoring an 11-4 win over Lake Oswego in a game played at Bend High School.
Colby Jackson, a Tualatin High School senior-to-be, helped lead the offensive attack in the victory, going 2 for 4 at the plate, with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.
Also for the Dawgs, Cameron Springer went 2 for 3 with a run scored, and two RBIs. Ryan Webb went 2 for 3, with a double and two runs scored. Kyle Kamp doubled, and drove in two runs. Sean Chamberlin and Bryce Beck each scored a pair of runs.
Jack Olson picked up the pitching win for Suburban Door. He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits, while striking out three and walking three in seven innings of work.
On Friday, Suburban Door defeated Canby 8-2 in a tournament game played at Ridgeview High School.
Cameron Perry picked up the complete-game pitching victory. He gave up two runs on six hits, while striking out five and walking four.
Jackson again helped pace the offense, going 2 for 5 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs. Beck went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI. Chamberlin went 2 for 3 with a run scored.
Jett Searle, Webb, Bryce Hulse and Brayden Fox each scored one run. Gavin Moore and Searle each drove in a run.
On Saturday, the Dawgs fell 2-0 to Lebanon in a game played at Bend High School.
Jackson and Webb combined to turn in a strong pitching performance for Suburban Door in the setback. They gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits, while striking out seven and walking two.
Jackson and Chamberlin each had a single to account for the Dawgs' only two hits of the contest.
On Sunday, Suburban Door fell 10-0 to Mountain View in a game played at Bend High School.
Jackson and Webb each had a pair of hits for the Tualatin team in that game.
The Dawgs will be back in action today (Thursday), when they open play at the Clackamas tournament. The event runs through Sunday at Clackamas High School.
On Monday, Suburban Door will be playing in a doubleheader at Lake Oswego, starting at 4 p.m. On Wednesday, the Dawgs will travel to Lakeridge for a 5 p.m. game.
