Wilsonville maker of ag drones scores grant

Wilsonville-based HoneyComb Corp. and Oregon State University have received a $150,000 grant to study the use of drone aircraft in agriculture, ag publication Capital Press reports. Researchers will analyze data collected by HoneyComb’s AgDrone to determine how effective it is in detecting problems with plants, soil and pests. The grant comes from the Portland Development Commission and Oregon BEST.

Crimson Trace shipping new laser sighting system

A new firearms sighting system developed by Wilsonville-based Crimson Trace has hit shelves. The Rail Master Pro pairs a green or red laser site with a 100-lumen LED white light. “Offering four distinct laser and light modes, the Rail Master Pro’s user friendly functionality and rugged design are great for both casual and experienced shooters,” John Hoppes, a product manager for the company, said in a press release.
